Onion Flower is the tender, edible stem topped with young flower buds, loved for its mild onion-garlic aroma and crisp bite. Clean the stalks thoroughly under running water, trim the tougher base, and cut into 3–4 cm pieces. For a quick side, heat oil in a wok, add the chopped stems with a pinch of salt, and stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes until bright green. You can also blanch briefly and toss with sesame oil or add to noodles and fried rice.
