Asma Khan

Asma Khan (born July 1969) is an Indian-born British chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author. Asma has unique royal Mughal ancestry, and was brought up in a palace in India, before moving to the UK and completing a PhD in British constitutional law. She insists there aren’t enough Indian women in the food industry, and says: ‘Change will have to happen from top down… and the onus is on women in positions of power to hire more women and encourage greater female participation.

Shilpa Dandekar

As one of London’s leading female Indian chefs, Shilpa's menus have made her restaurant, Pure Indian Cooking, one of the Capital’s most intriguing venues for sumptuous and creative food. From a childhood in Maharashtra and many years in Mumbai, Shilpa has redefined Indian fine dining in London. Her visionary takes on Indian cuisine is largely inspired by European dishes, executed with a vibrant Indian styling that has made her ideas some of London’s most inventive and exquisite.

Angela Malik

Indian-born, Edinburgh-raised Scottish-Punjabi chef, entrepreneur and consultant Angela Malik’s work is not easy to categories. Angela Malik is a leading global strategy and innovation consultant working with SME & blue-chip companies and an advisor and board member on the influential Mayor of London’s Food Board.

She says: ‘I’m now more than a chef. I’ve moved into innovation consultancy, and I’m determined to find solutions to societal food challenges like food poverty, obesity and older people’s diets using technology, entrepreneurs, start-ups, corporate muscle and communities, in sustainable, environmentally friendly ways.
