A classic Italian dessert to enjoy on various occasions.

REQUIRED INGREDIENTS

1 cup, cream cheese

1 cup, cottage cheese (paneer)

1 cup, soya milk

1 ½, cups espresso (or strong coffee)

6 tbsp, rum essence

40, ladyfingers/okra

1 tsp, vanilla essence

6, egg yolks (large)

3/4 cup, granulated sugar

2-3 tbsp, chocolate powder to dust the top

METHOD

Beat the cottage cheese, sugar, soya milk, rum essence, and vanilla essence until soft peaks form.

Add in cream cheese, and continue to whip to stiff peaks.

Dip the ladyfingers in coffee and place in an 8×8 pan to make the first layer (Just a quick dunk in the coffee is enough).

Spread half of the cream mixture on top of the first layer of ladyfingers. Repeat the process with the second layer of ladyfingers and cream mixture.

Dust the top of the dessert with chocolate powder using a sieve.

Refrigerate for about 2-4 hours.

Serve with a cup of hot coffee.
