INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Rice Flour (roasted)
1¼ cup Water
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Oil (optional)
Grated Coconut (for garnish – optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Boil Water:
In a saucepan, bring 1¼ cup of water to a boil. Add salt and oil.

2. Make the Dough:
Reduce the heat to low. Gradually add the rice flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Mix until it forms a smooth, soft dough. Turn off heat and let it cool slightly.

3. Fill the Press:
Grease your idiyappam press (or sev maker) and fill it with the warm dough.

4. Steam the Idiyappam:
Press the dough onto greased idli plates or banana leaves in a circular motion. Steam for 8–10 minutes.

5. Serve Hot:
Serve with coconut milk and jaggery, spicy curry, or chutney of your choice.
