1 cup Fresh Drumstick Leaves (washed well)
1 small Onion, chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
1 small Tomato, chopped
½ tsp Cumin seeds
½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Ghee or Oil
3 cups Water or Vegetable stock
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice (optional, for taste)
STEP-BY-STEP COOKINGINSTRUCTIONS:
1. Prep the Leaves – Wash the drumstick leaves thoroughly and set aside.
2. Temper – Heat ghee/oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, and onion. Sauté until onions turn translucent.
3. Add Tomato & Spices – Add chopped tomato, turmeric, and pepper powder. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
4. Cook the Leaves – Add drumstick leaves and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
5. Simmer – Pour in water/vegetable stock, add salt, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Blend (Optional) – For a smooth soup, blend using a hand blender, then simmer for another 2 minutes.
7. Finish – Add lemon juice for a fresh tang, serve hot.
