INGREDIENTS:
500g Fresh Fish (cleaned and cut)
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 sprig Curry Leaves
1 Onion (finely chopped)
2 Tomatoes (chopped)
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
2 tbsp Chili Powder
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
½ tsp Turmeric
Small Lemon-sized Tamarind (soaked in water)
Salt to taste
Water as required
THE PERFECT FISH CURRY
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
2. Sauté onions until golden, then add ginger garlic paste.
3. Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
4. Mix in all spice powders and cook until oil separates.
5. Add tamarind extract and water. Let it boil.
6. Add the fish pieces gently and cook on low heat till done.
7. Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot with rice or idiyappam!
