2. Simmer to thicken

Stir in sugar and crushed cardamom. Mix well.
4. Prepare nuts
In a small pan, heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins until golden.
5. Combine & finish
Add fried nuts (and saffron if using) to the kheer. Mix and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
6. Serve
Serve warm or chilled as desired.
