INGREDIENTS:
2 large Onions, thinly sliced
1 cup Chickpea Flour (besan)
2–3 Green Chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Powder (optional, for crispiness)
Salt to taste
Fresh Coriander Leaves, chopped
Water (as needed)
Oil for deep frying
FRYING TO GOLDEN PERFECTION
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a bowl, combine sliced onions, green chillies, cumin seeds, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, and coriander leaves.
2. Add chickpea flour gradually and mix well. Add just enough water to make a thick batter.
3. Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat.
4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
5. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
6. Serve hot with chutney or tea for a perfect rainy day snack!
